Finalmente, la legal-racional es la que predomina hoy, donde se obedece a reglas abstractas y cargos jerárquicos impersonales dentro de una burocracia, independientemente de quién ocupe el puesto.

    El desencanto del mundo ocurre cuando la racionalización y la ciencia eliminan el misterio, lo sagrado y lo espontáneo de la vida. En el trabajo, esto se traduce en una obsesión por lo medible y los indicadores de desempeño (KPIs). Todo lo que no puede cuantificarse, como la creatividad real o la conexión humana, queda fuera del sistema. Esto genera un vacío existencial, ya que el trabajo pierde su propósito profundo y se convierte en un trámite frío y mecánico.

    Para sobrevivir en la "jaula de hierro", es necesario recuperar la "racionalidad sustantiva", es decir, volver a cuestionar el propósito de nuestras acciones más allá de la eficiencia.
