Unpack the toxic psychology of orchestrated jealousy and social exclusion. Learn why manipulators use proxies to mirror your behavior and how to reclaim your power when you're being pushed out.

The narcissist is a master of perception who weaponizes institutions to make the true victim look like the problem. By understanding the pattern of stalking by proxy and triangulation, you can begin to hack the narcissist's game and reclaim your own narrative.
So what do you do in a sense where you create a culture and a jealous guy comes in but in order for him not to look like he’s the one that’s jealous. He uses a girl too basically copy everything I do and I don’t understand that dynamic because she agrees with it as well and I’m trying to understand that anyways I got kicked out of the gym because I tried to voice it out, but then the Gym went under a new contract so I signed up for that one and I went in, but kicked out again what’s tha game

Triangulation is a manipulation tactic where a person uses a third party to communicate with or target another individual. In a gym environment, a "jealous guy" might use a "proxy"—such as a female gym-goer—to mirror your specific workouts, routines, or "vibe." This allows the manipulator to stay behind the scenes and maintain a clean reputation while actively undermining your sense of individuality and peace.
"Flying Monkeys" are individuals who act on behalf of a narcissist, often without realizing they are being used as weapons. Some are "benevolent," meaning they have a sociotropic nature and simply want to please the narcissist, whom they view as a charming or authoritative mentor. Others are "malevolent" and derive personal satisfaction from the power play and drama. In both cases, they reinforce the narcissist’s false narrative, making the victim feel isolated and gaslit.
Narcissists are often masters of perception and "weaponize institutions" by building a "halo" around themselves. They present as calm, disciplined, and helpful members of the community. When a victim finally speaks up about the covert harassment, the management—who may be overloaded and lack training in complex abuse dynamics—sees the victim as the "disruptor" or the "unstable" one. The narcissist often preemptively launches a "fake concern campaign," reporting the victim first to ensure the institution views the victim as the problem.
Knowledge Vampirism occurs when a person extracts "embodied wisdom," style, or social currency from someone else rather than doing the work to develop their own character. In the gym, a "jealous guy" might see a member who has built a positive culture or unique routine and feel threatened by that person's authenticity. To reclaim control, the "vampire" copies the target’s every move through a proxy to signal that the target is not special and that their unique identity can be "colonized" or stolen.
The most effective strategy is to "Grey Rock," which involves being as uninteresting and unreactive as possible to starve the narcissist of emotional supply. It is also vital to document every interaction, including dates, times, and specific behaviors, to establish a pattern rather than a series of isolated events. If the situation escalates to a membership revocation, victims should dispute any ongoing charges with their financial institutions and consider consulting a civil rights attorney if the gym's actions appear discriminatory or negligent.
