Struggling to remember new words? Learn how to stop the 'buffet' approach and use the 20/80 rule to start speaking like a native speaker today.

A simple routine you actually follow every day is much better than a perfect plan you only do 30% of the year. It’s about rhythm and repetition over intensity; a three-hour marathon once a week is actually less effective than twenty minutes every single morning.
"The hosts welcome listeners to the Real English channel. The topic of the podcast is: "What are the best ways to learn English? How can I start speaking like a native speaker and remember vocabulary more easily?"At the end of the video, the hosts say goodbye to the viewers and invite them to write in the comments what topic they would like to hear in the next podcast."

The 15/30/15 rule is a structured 60-minute learning block designed to create a continuous loop of knowledge. You spend the first fifteen minutes reviewing material from the previous day to trigger spaced repetition, followed by thirty minutes of focusing on new "input" material. The final fifteen minutes are spent previewing what you will study the next day, ensuring that you are always building on a foundation that is fresh in your mind rather than starting from zero each session.
Shadowing is an active cognitive process where a learner listens to a native speaker and repeats what they say with as little delay as possible. Unlike traditional repetition, shadowing forces the brain to capture the "music" of the language, including its specific rhythm, intonation, and pacing. Because English is a stress-timed language where some syllables are stretched and others are "squished," shadowing helps train mouth muscles to match the natural "bounce" and "lazy" vowel sounds, such as the Schwa, used by native speakers.
Learning in chunks, also known as the Lexical Approach, involves memorizing "lego bricks" of language—words that naturally hang out together, such as "make a decision" instead of "do a decision." This method reduces the cognitive load on your working memory during a conversation. Instead of struggling to apply complex grammar rules to individual grains of sand, your brain can simply grab a pre-made block of speech, which leads to faster, more natural-sounding communication and helps avoid the "Grammar Trap" of freezing while over-analyzing rules.
Micro-Immersion is the practice of turning your existing environment into an English-speaking one through "Environment Design" and utilizing "Dead Time." You can implement this by changing your phone and social media settings to English so you interact with the language passively throughout the day. Additionally, you can use "Dead Time"—like commuting or doing dishes—to engage in active listening or narrate your daily actions in English, such as describing the process of making coffee, to build a direct neural bridge between your thoughts and the language.
