    L'illusion de compétence survient lorsqu'un apprenant relit plusieurs fois un texte ou surligne des passages, créant un sentiment de fluidité qui lui fait croire que l'information est acquise. Pour contrer ce piège, il faut privilégier le "rappel actif" : fermer son support et essayer de réciter l'essentiel ou de schématiser les concepts de mémoire. Si l'on est incapable de restituer l'information après dix minutes, c'est que la méthode de stockage n'était pas efficace.

    La planification à rebours, inspirée par Wiggins et McTighe, consiste à commencer la préparation d'une leçon par la fin. Au lieu de lire le cours linéairement, l'apprenant définit d'abord l'objectif final ou la cible de l'examen (par exemple, savoir comparer deux systèmes). On détermine ensuite comment prouver que cet objectif est atteint (l'évaluation), et seulement après, on choisit les activités et les contenus spécifiques à réviser. Cela permet de se concentrer sur le "cœur" du sujet plutôt que sur des détails accessoires.

    Ces concepts illustrent le risque de malentendu socio-cognitif. Le "genre premier" correspond à l'exécution pure d'une tâche matérielle (par exemple, faire un beau coloriage sur une carte de géographie). Le "genre second" est la phase de réflexivité où l'on comprend le concept intellectuel derrière l'exercice (utiliser les couleurs pour coder le relief). Pour réussir, l'apprenant doit passer au genre second en se demandant systématiquement quelle règle ou quel concept il est en train de manipuler au-delà de l'exercice physique.

    Le modelage est une technique d'enseignement explicite qui consiste à mettre un "haut-parleur sur sa pensée". L'enseignant, ou l'apprenant révisant seul, verbalise à voix haute son raisonnement, ses hésitations et ses stratégies de correction d'erreurs. Cette méthode rend le processus mental visible et logique, transformant la réflexion en une suite de choix compréhensibles plutôt qu'en une "recette magique". Cela aide à créer des ancrages mémoriels forts et à dissiper les malentendus invisibles.

    Le modèle ADDIE est un cadre d'ingénierie pédagogique en cinq étapes : Analyse (identifier les besoins et le public), Design (concevoir le scénario et les objectifs SMART), Développement (créer les supports et contenus), Implantation (réaliser le cours ou la formation) et Évaluation. Ce cycle permet une amélioration continue, car la dernière phase sert à analyser ce qui a fonctionné ou non, permettant d'ajuster la méthode pour les sessions futures.
