    Solange ein Aneurysma klein bleibt, verursacht es oft keine Beschwerden. Problematisch wird es jedoch, wenn die Gefäßaussackung so groß wird, dass sie auf umliegende Nerven drückt. In solchen Fällen können laut Lena deutliche Warnsignale wie Sehstörungen oder ein hängendes Augenlid auftreten. Auch Kopfschmerzen führen viele Patienten zum Arzt, wo die Gefahr im Gehirn dann diagnostiziert werden kann.
